Hours of Operation

  • Monday – Friday 0800 – 1600 hours, plus evening and weekend appointments
  • 24 X 7 Urgent only Radiologist coverage
  • Abdomen, Pelvic, Small Parts, Breast, Obstetrical, Carotid Doppler, Venous Doppler

Patient Preparations for Ultrasound

  • Patients being sent for a RENAL (kidney stones) ultrasound; please follow ABDOMINAL/PELVIC preparation
  •  FEMALE patients being sent for an ultrasound of the APPENDIX; please follow ABDOMINAL/PELVIC preparation

Abdominal Ultrasound:

6 hours prior to examination: nothing further to eat or drink.

 

Pelvic Ultrasound:

  • Arrive with a full bladder.
  • Drink 5 glasses of water (8 oz glasses).
  • Have your water finished 1 hour before your appointment time (i.e. if your appointment is scheduled for 9 am, have your water finished at 8 am).

    NO DAIRY PRODUCTS OR CARBONATED BEVERAGES PLEASE!!

 

Abdominal/Pelvic Ultrasound Combined:

  • 6 hours prior to examination: nothing further to eat.
  • Arrive with a full bladder: drink 5 glasses of water (8 oz glasses).
  • Have your water finished 1 hour before your appointment time (i.e. if your appointment is scheduled for 9 am, have your water finished at 8 am).

    NO DAIRY PRODUCTS OR CARBONATED BEVERAGES PLEASE!!

 

Prostate (TRUSP)

  • Light breakfast only
  • Take fleet enema 2 hrs before your appointment
  • Empty your bladder before the test
  • Obtain a fleet enema from your pharmacy
