How do I apply for a position?

Simply visit Job Postings or Future Opportunities and select desired position. Once you have reviewed the position requirements and job details scroll down and click on the Apply Now button. Complete the required fields answer some on line questions and attach your formatted cover letter/resume. Click Submit. You will receive an email confirming your application.

Will you contact me about the progress of my application?

We thank all those interested in employment with Queensway Carleton Hospital, however due to the volume of applications only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

What is the best format to submit my application?

It is suggested to upload a pdf version of your cover letter and resume as one document. It is more easily identified if saved by file extension last name, first name.

What is the difference between Future Opportunities and Job Postings?

Future Opportunities is the resume bank for a specific position. These applications are kept on file for a period of three months and from these applications we select the most suitable applicants based on the position requirements. The positions are generally for casual and part-time status and recruitment is on-going. After 3 months these resumes may not be considered.

 

Job Postings are vacant casual, part-time and full-time positions open to both internal and external applicants.

How frequently do you update the Job Postings?

New Job Posting are posted on Tuesdays and Thursdays and close at 3:00 pm on the closing day indicated on the poster.

Can I submit my applications if I do not see the employment opportunities I am qualified for?

Yes, we welcome all applications. If you do not see a posting that meets your qualifications at this time please email careers@qch.on.ca and indicate in the subject line the position you desire. All resumes are kept on file for a period of 3 months.

Can I be offered a position with Queensway Carleton Hospital if I am not Canadian and currently live in a different country?

Only applicants who are legally entitled to work in Canada can be considered for advertised positions. Please visit Citizen and Immigration Canada for information on how to obtain employment authorization.
